Driver Manages to Keep Same Tires for the Equivalent of 5 Trips Around The World

While an average driver keeps the same set of tires for less than 30,000 miles, a British chap named Tim Townsend has managed to complete a whopping 117,000 miles or the equivalent of five trips around the globe, with the same set of rubber on his Land Rover Defender 90! And mind you, Mr Townsend claims that he completed these miles on anything other than a normal road. Even if this story comes from an official press release from Avon tires, you must admit that Mr Townsend’s accomplishment is pretty remarkable. -Continued
