2008 Buick Lucerne Super V8 & CXL Special Edition Models

Buick announced today that it’s expanding its 2008 Lucerne line-up with the addition of two new models, the Super and CXL Special Edition. Starting off with the Super, the top-notch Lucerne is powered by GM’s 4.6L Northstar V8 engine that delivers 292 Hp @ 6300 rpm and 288 lb.-ft. of torque (390 Nm) @ 4500 rpm. Aside from the V8 unit, the Super also features revised steering and suspension components, Magnetic Ride Control technology and 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in P245/50R18 all-season radials.

On the outside, the Super is distinguished by the new grille and front fascia, new rocker panels, new rear fascia, new exhaust tips and “Super” badge on the decklid. Inside, the Super features a leather-wrapped instrument panel upper with French seam stitching; suede trim on the doors and seats; walnut wood-accented steering wheel and shifter along with silver finish for the center stack. Continuing with the Lucerne CXL Special Edition, it is offered with either a 197 Hp 3.8L V6 engine or a 275 Hp 4.6L V8 Northstar unit. Outside, the CXL Special Edition models are equipped with a chrome grille, unique 17-inch chrome-clad wheels, a new rear fascia and model-specific badge on the decklid.

Inside, the CXL Special Edition comes equipped with perforated leather seat inserts and contrasting stitching on the seats, console armrest and door trim. The Lucerne CXL Special Edition V6 model carry an MSRP of $32,150 while the Special Edition V8 model features a $33,850 MSRP.
