Porsche Recalling ’08MY Cayenne V6 in the States
German sports car manufacturer Porsche has announced that it will recall 5,573 2008 MY Cayenne SUVs equipped with the V6 engine due to a problem with the fuel line. In particular, the fuel line in the plenum panel area may make contact with the rear engine compartment cover. Relative movements of the engine may cause knocking noises and chafing on the fuel line that could leak and result to a fire in the presence of an ignition source. Porsche dealers will reroute the fuel line and install an additional spacer ring free of charge. Cayenne owners can contact Porsche USA at 1-800-767-7243 for more info.
