VIDEO: Driver Tries and Fails Spectacularly to Park

For years the debate has raged over unintended acceleration. Is it the result of a design defect or is it simply driver error? Well, this video put forward for the case of the latter as one driver's attempt to park goes horribly, hilariously wrong. Watch the white car entering from the top right at approximately 6 seconds in. Everything seems normal up until 23 seconds, when suddenly...

You might have to watch it again to get the full effect. With the steering wheel still hard over, the driver realizes he or she has gone too far. Rather than hitting the brake, he or she hits the accelerator instead and the car surges forward, demolishing a door and slamming into the side of another parked car.

It's one of those things that has to be watched over and over again (I know I did). Feel free to leave your jibes, chides and other remarks in the comments below

Video: SEAT Exeo Sport Tourer 3D Renderings

Volkswagen Group's Spanish subsidiary SEAT has released a new teaser video of the Exeo Sport Tourer which, as we informed you in a previous post, will be revealed at the Geneva Show in March. With the Exeo Sport Tourer the firm's German bosses are giving the previous Audi A4 Avant a second chance in life as the differences between the two models are limited to a few styling adjustments on the front and rear end of the car.

Like the sedan variant, the Exeo Sport Tourer will be launched with three 4-cylinder petrol-engines ranging a 102 HP 1.6-liter unit to a 2.0-liter TFSI producing 200 HP and three common rail Diesel engines with outputs ranging from 120 HP to 170 HP.

Video: 2009 SEAT IBIZA

Yesterday, SEAT took the wraps off the all-new Ibiza hatch at its Martorell factory in Spain. Set to go on sale in Europe this summer, the Ibiza will compete in the supermini segment against cars like the Mazd2, Renault Clio, Fiat Grande Punto and the new Ford Fiesta. For the time being, SEAT has revealed details only in concern of the five-door version, but we suspect that the Spanish carmaker will also unveil the three-door version at the Ibiza’s public debut at the Madrid International Auto Show in May.
