VIDEO: Driver Tries and Fails Spectacularly to Park

For years the debate has raged over unintended acceleration. Is it the result of a design defect or is it simply driver error? Well, this video put forward for the case of the latter as one driver's attempt to park goes horribly, hilariously wrong. Watch the white car entering from the top right at approximately 6 seconds in. Everything seems normal up until 23 seconds, when suddenly...

You might have to watch it again to get the full effect. With the steering wheel still hard over, the driver realizes he or she has gone too far. Rather than hitting the brake, he or she hits the accelerator instead and the car surges forward, demolishing a door and slamming into the side of another parked car.

It's one of those things that has to be watched over and over again (I know I did). Feel free to leave your jibes, chides and other remarks in the comments below

Video: Stupid Car Park Crash

Normal people usually lift their foot off the gas pedal and start applying some pressure on the brake pedal before they park. But not this driver (we’ve no idea if it’s a he or she) who continued going on until the building in front put a stop to the VW Golf’s course -Video after the jump

Video: How Long Would It Take You To Park Here?

Take a close look at the Audi A3 in the picture above. Ok, now that you have checked it out please tell us how long would it take an average driver to park it in the corner; 10, 20, 30 seconds? Yeah right; it took this guy more than 4 minutes and he didn’t even park it correctly for God’s sake! Watch the hilarious video right after the jump, it’ll make your day! -Continued

Oops! Russian Subway Parking

Apparently this Russian guy lost control of his Lada and ended up, or rather down, the subway entrance. According to the guy who took the pictures, not only did the driver escape without getting hurt but luckily for him, there were no innocent by-passers at the time at the subway’s stairway entrance. -Click “Read More…” below for more images

Quiz: Would You Pay $200,000 For A Parking Space?

Here’s a question for all you big city dwellers out there: How far would you go for a parking space? Some people in cities such as NYC, Chicago and Boston have gone as far as paying over $200,000 for a deeded parking space. Since property values in the city are always escalating and homes in popular cities are constantly in demand, people can sell these spaces at these kinds of prices and get away with it. But having your own personal parking spaces isn’t only about the convenience. -Continued: Click “Read More…” below

People are stocking up on two or even three of these precious investments so they can rent them to other desperate parkers and make some money on the deal. Parking spaces in NYC go for about the same price per square foot as actual living space. Now, what kind of society holds equal amount of value between a roof over your head and a parking space? The answer is, people are so desperate they’d rather live in their cars in their own personal parking space than in an apartment that’s simply close to the subway. Honestly, wouldn’t it just be simpler to save your $200,000 and just take the bus?

The 2006 British International Motor Show opened it’s doors to the press today. Besides the global and UK first presentations, it seems that there are a lot of outdoor activities as this cool video of a guy handbrake-parking a Toyota Aygo, proves.

BMW Self-Parking Car System Video

So what’s the difference between this auto parking system and various others that have been previewed the past few years like the Toyota Prius one? Well, BMW’s doesn’t kneed the driver to be in the car.

Although it comes to a contrast with the Bavarian moto “The Ultimate Driving Machine”, BMW promises that because this system is based on technology already used in the latest 7-Series, it is just a matter of time before they put it in production. Nevertheless, I still can’t find the use of a system that just parks itself in a garage. If you ask, me I prefer the alternative “famine fatal” auto park system in the following video bellow…via: wired
