2009 Mercedes-Benz CLC: Official Pictures of New C-Class Sports Coupe

The 2009 CLC was unveiled today at the second Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin, which takes place from 27 - 31 January 2008. Though the German carmaker has yet to issue an official press release, the high resolution pictures did make their way into the internet. As you can see for yourselves, despite the name change, the CLC is nothing more than a facelifted version of the outgoing Sports Coupe that’s based on the previous generation C-Class.

The most notable changes include the 2009 C-Class front end, the redesigned rear-end, the new steering wheel, the revised instrument cluster and the new audio and climate controls in the centre stack. If you ask Mercedes however, they’ll tell you that 1,100 components have been either developed for the new sports coupĂ© or refined from the previous model. -Continued after the jump

We’re still waiting for the official press release to get details on CLC’s line-up, but from what we’ve been told from Mercedes sources, the new SportsCoupe’s gasoline engine range will include a pair of supercharged 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engines delivering 156 and 184 HP, a 204 HP 2.5-liter V6 and a 272 HP 3.5-liter V6 while the diesel range will consist of two 2.2-liter CDI units generating 136 and 170 H.
