Mazda RX-8 40th Anniversary Limited Edition Goes On Sale In The UK

Following the unveiling of the commemorative RX-8 231 HP 40th Anniversary Limited Edition at the Frankfurt Show in September (click here), Mazda UK announced the market launch of the model which will be available in just 400 units in the UK, priced at £24,595 ($50,800 or €34,670). The limited edition model’s unique exterior features of include a choice of two exclusive exterior colours –Metropolitan Grey Mica and Crystal White Pearlescent, are bespoke 10-spoke, 18-inch diameter alloy wheels, an aerodynamic rear wing, new blue-light front fog lamps and a 40th Anniversary badge on each front wing. -Continued

Inside, the RX-8 40th Anniversary Limited Edition features seats trimmed in black leather with stone Alcantara centre sections, black leather steering wheel, handbrake and gear lever with stone stitching, carpet mats with the limited edition logo and bespoke stainless-steel scuff plates incorporating a 40th Anniversary Rotary Engine with each cars’ unique number – starting at 001/400.

Finally, the regular Mazda RX-8’s handling is further enhanced by the fitting of uprated Bilstein dampers all around while in order to reduce NVH and improve refinement, as well as improve ride, the front suspension cross members are lled with polyurethane foam for an even quieter ride over harsh surfaces.
